Many joints ago, in the summer of 2018, Jarno was sitting in a garden smoking a joint with friends and someone said: “This really sucks about my grinder.” Someone else responded with: “Yeah, if you were to change this or that, it would be better.”
The idea never left Jarno’s head, but he had to meet Jon in order to actually start.
Jon & Jarno
Jon and Jarno happened to meet during their studies at Avans ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Both studied Entrepreneurship and Retail Management. While most of their classmates were fresh out of high school, Jon and Jarno had taken te longer way around.
Jon, coming from [X] was 23 years old. And Jarno, who failed high school twice and university once, was 21.
Jarno had the idea to start his own coffeeshop, and Jon had always been eager to build something from scratch. Even though Jon doesn’t consume cannabis, he had both fatih in Jarno and the idea, that he joined without a doubt.
On 28/05/2024 Othello Twist B.V. was founded.
After nearly 2 years of creating and testing prototypes, on 14/04/2026 the first order of 100 grinders had been created.
